Dr. Kimberley Klassen
I am a general dentist and graduated with distinction from the University of Saskatchewan in 1992. I practiced in Red Deer for several years before moving to Calgary in 1999. What I love most about my job is building relationships with my patients, seeing them improve their oral health and sharing in the satisfaction of the results. I am happy to see my patient’s excitement when they look in the mirror after their treatment is complete and enjoy hearing parents say how much their children like coming to the office. I feel that continuing education is vital in keeping up with the latest in dentistry. I want to be able to constantly improve my practice by implementing new ideas and technology that are evidence-based. Being committed to lifelong learning is important in this endeavor. I love getting to know my patients on a personal level and want to make a difference, not only in their oral health, but also in their overall health and well-being. I understand how important it is to listen to each individual to help them achieve their goals.
I am a member of the Alberta Dental Association and College, the Canadian Dental Association and the American Academy of Clear Aligners.
I grew up in Saskatoon and have always been very active. I love most sports and have been involved in basketball, track, volleyball, fastball and slo-pitch. I also enjoy working out, downhill skiing, hiking and golf. I am a big Flames fan, which is evident in the office. I like the Stamps too but my heart is still with the Riders. Throughout the years, I have volunteered with Inn from the Cold, the Calgary Stampede and done some tutoring. I have also been involved with Home Away from Home through the University of Calgary. This is a program that pairs foreign students with Canadian families for fun and friendship. I now have new friends from Germany, Korea and Iran. My husband, Neil, and I love to travel and experience new places, people and cultures. Someday I aspire to combine my passions of dentistry and travel and volunteer overseas.
What an honour it is to be celebrating over 10 years with Dr. Klassen at All Smiles Dental Care. I have been a dental assistant for 33 years and I am as passionate today as I was when I graduated top of my class at Pima Community College in Tucson, Arizona. I am currently a member of the College of Alberta Dental Assistants.
I have been married to my best friend, Paul, for 39 years. I love to travel and have been to Italy, Germany, New Zealand, Egypt, Portugal, the United Kingdom, Mexico, Hawaii and various places in the USA. I have done 3 cycling holidays to Austria, Spain and Croatia. I love hiking and being surrounded in the majesty of nature and God’s creation. Feel free to ask me any questions about my adventures.
I am also passionate about the performing arts and enjoy Vertigo Theatre, the Symphony and Theatre Calgary.
I have two amazing children, Andrew and Emma, who complete my life and make me a better person.
If there is anything I can do to ease your comfort with dental procedures such as provide you with a blanket or pillow or hold your hand, just let me know. I’ve got your back. I’m here to make you as comfortable as I can.
I was born and raised in Regina, Saskatchewan where I graduated from the dental assisting program at SIAST Wascana Campus in 2014 with distinction. The one thing I enjoy most about being a dental assistant so far is getting to connect with all my patients and hearing about their life experiences.
I am a member of the College of Alberta Dental Assistants.
I moved to Calgary in 2019 looking for change and a new adventure in life. My fascination for the mountains is what drew me to Calgary after growing up in such a flat place like the Saskatchewan prairies. In the summer months you can find me exploring the mountains every chance I get. My two favorite hikes I have discovered so far are Wind Tower and King’s Creek Ridge. In the winter months you can find me in the gym or at the hockey rink. If you have any hikes you have enjoyed and recommend, please feel free to share them with me!
I am originally from Calgary and graduated with honors from the dental hygiene program at Georgian College located in Barrie, Ontario. My previous experience as a dental assistant compliments my position here as a registered dental hygienist. In total I have over 18 years of experience in the dental field and have been a valued member of All Smiles Dental Care for over 13 years. I am a member of the College of Registered Dental Hygienists of Alberta.
I partake in various social programs within the community and have volunteered my time providing oral health education and dental hygiene treatment with various organizations including Kindness in Action. I love helping to improve the oral health of my patients because I know it ultimately improves their well-being in general.
In my spare time, I enjoy shopping and spending time with my family.
I was born and raised in Calgary. I attended the dental hygiene program at George Brown College in Toronto where I graduated with honors. I have been a Dental Hygienist for over 5 years and am a member of the College of Registered Dental Hygienists of Alberta. I find dental hygiene to be a very satisfying career and really enjoy furthering my dental education. Getting to know my patients on a personal level is one of my favourite parts about working as a hygienist.
My interests include spending time with friends and family, travelling, shopping, and relaxing at the spa.
I have called Calgary home for about 40 years. I have worked in the dental field for 25 years doing both dental assisting and administration. I am a registered member of the College of Alberta Dental Assistants. I enjoy working with the public and meeting new people. For fun I like spending time with my family, being outdoors, hiking and snowshoeing. I have travelled to California, Hawaii, Mexico, Florida, Dominican Republic, Egypt, and Israel.
I changed careers later in life from a quiet and solitude profession in accounts payable and receivables. I wanted to see and interact with people. In 2011, I graduated with a 4.0 GPA in dental assisting from Columbia College here in Calgary. After completing eight years of being a chair-side dental assistant, I have embraced working on the business team to welcome patients, listen to their concerns and stories, and ensure that all insurance paperwork is taken care of so that they can leave without the hassle of doing it themselves. I pride myself on being efficient, helpful, kind and always have a ready smile. I enjoy working with Dr. Kim and our team to care for our amazing patients.
I have maintained my registration with the College of Alberta Dental Assistants.
When I am not in the office, I am usually doing paperwork for our family business. I enjoy spending time with my husband, our two adult sons, going on walks with friends, the gym, and the occasional home building project.
Seeing people smile warms my heart.
