Dr. Kaitlin MacLeod
Dr. Kaitlin MacLeod grew up in Airdrie, Alberta. She attended the University of Alberta for her undergraduate degree and graduated from dental school there in 2012. She then returned to the Calgary area where she has been practicing general dentistry ever since.Dr. MacLeod enjoys many aspects of general dentistry including restorations, crowns/bridges, geriatrics, partial dentures and root canals. She has also taken additional courses in order to be able to provide Invisalign and Botox. Her favourite aspect of practice is working with kids as they are both fun and challenging.
All Smiles Dental Care has an enthusiastic and well-trained team working with Dr. MacLeod. There are two business administrators to assist in booking appointments, submitting dental claims, and reviewing treatment. They will likely be your first contact at our office and will immediately make you feel welcome. Two hygienists are responsible for looking after your preventive needs. They are thorough, gentle and strive to develop a home care regimen to make your dental visits easier. Finally, Dr. MacLeod has two assistants to make you comfortable and ensure that procedures run smoothly and efficiently.

There is more and more evidence that your oral health is linked to your overall health. Research is continually being done in this area. It is vital that we consider this when developing an individual treatment plan. Sometimes an underlying medical condition can affect periodontal (gum) disease or dental caries (cavities). At each exam appointment, Dr. MacLeod will perform an oral cancer screening. VELscope Vx offers an enhanced intra oral examination of the soft tissues of your mouth (see the New Technology tab for more information). It is recommended to have a VELscope exam done yearly. Another important part of detecting disease includes the collection of radiographs or x-rays specific to each patient. All Smiles Dental Care has digital x-ray technology. There are many advantages to this. The most important is the significant decrease in radiation compared to traditional x-rays. The ability to lighten or darken the image or even sharpen it assists in diagnosis. It also makes it easier to communicate with specialists or dental plans if the need arises. Dental radiographs are a simple, safe way to detect problems when they are small and clinically imperceptible. In most cases, it makes correction easier and less expensive. The All Smiles Dental Care team is focussed on the prevention of problems before they start.
An easy and non-invasive way to improve your smile is by tooth whitening. We have Zoom whitening that will accomplish this in 45 minutes to one hour. For many people, this is the only cosmetic dentistry that they want. For others, it is the first step in transforming their smile. Veneers or crowns can change the shape, length and size of teeth. They can also be used to correct mild to moderate spacing or crowding. So much is possible with dentistry today! Ask us what might be right for you.
Although we love to see children anytime, a great way to introduce your kids to the dentist is by attending our Kid's Day. We set aside a whole day just for kids. We only do exams and hygiene on that day; no restorative treatment is scheduled. In the past we have had a Hallowe'en party, crazy hair day, Flames day and a pajama party to name a few. Kids are encouraged to dress up as well. We have goodie bags and treats to take home. It's a fun day for kids of all ages and the dental team too.
We thank you for allowing us to take care of your dental needs and look forward to serving you.
